Love & Care has been in operation since 1982. We are a non-profit Christian based facility and we operate under a board of directors which consists of elders from area Churches of Christ. We do not discriminate regarding race, gender, or religion. Our facility is not a nursing home. It is an assisted living facility. We offer assistance to the person who can no longer live alone. We can help with personal care, laundry service, meals, and medications. We do not provide one-on-one supervision.

The process
Steps for admission
Application
The application must be filled out in its entirety. It can be completed online or printed and returned in person or via mail. WE DO NOT DIRECT ADMIT FROM ANY FACILITY. We do consider referrals from nursing homes and/or therapy facilities. However, we cannot accept a resident until all the steps for admission are in place.
Evaluation
The potential resident must be evaluated by the Administrator or the Head nurse. This process is to determine if Love & Care can properly meet the needs of the potential resident.
Pre-admit documents
If it is decided by both parties (Love & Care and potential resident & family members) that the potential resident would like to come and live at Love & Care, the resident and/or family will be given a packet of Pre-Admit Documents. These documents MUST be read and signed by the resident or Power of Attorney BEFORE day of admission.
Payment
Love & Care does NOT hold rooms or proceed with admission process on a verbal contract. However, a $500.00 deposit will hold a room for seven (7) days. Should you decide you do not want to be admitted, you will forfeit your down payment (no exceptions). The admission process will only continue when the first month’s rent has been paid in full.
Doctor’s visit
Love & Care does NOT employ a staff doctor. Therefore, before admission can take place, the potential resident must visit his/her Primary Care Physician. Love & Care has prepared documents which must be taken or faxed and completed by the doctor and returned to us. This MUST be done BEFORE admission.
Admission date
Once all documents have been received, Love & Care will contact you with an admission date. Admission should only take 30-45 minutes if these steps have been followed. Love & Care ONLY does new admissions Monday – Thursday @ 10:00 am.
